The handicap bathroom stall.

If you need to use the handicap bathroom stall, I apologize if this post offends you.

But in all honesty, I find it a superior bathroom experience when I have to use a public bathroom. It's almost always cleaner (because less people use it than the regular stalls) and is more spacious. However, I was talking to a friend recently and he mentioned that he thought the handicap stall was TOO spacious and made him feel uncomfortable; I myself appreciate the space. Space aside, having a clean-looking toilet seat going into your bathroom experience is always comforting, and then giving it the extra wipe-down or layer of toilet paper for safety is even better. All too often I have had walked into the only free stall and was forced to clean it myself, knowing that there would still be residue of whatever was left before me.

However, everytime I go to the bathroom I run into this dilema. Do I use the hadicap stall? (we'll call it the h-stall from here on out) My biggest fear is if someone comes into the bathroom and needs to use the h-stall, and I'm in it, taking up their precious space. Of course, I leave it just as clean as it was when I went in (or cleaner), but the principle of it just makes me feel horrible. I have yet to experience this, but the mere thought is pretty frightening.

On antoher random note, my mouse pointer thing on the computer screen really looks like the capital letter "I". You'd think I would've realized earlier.

I see nothing wrong with using the h-stall. I personally prefer them as well, BUT on the occasional occurrence that the h-stall has a sink in it too, I will wash my hands there and then feel weird walking out of the stall because I feel like people judge me for not washing my hands again at the regular sinks. Wow, did that make sense?

I believe the worst is when you really need to go, and you realize every single stall is utterly disgusting. Then, in you're own rush to put down some TP on the toilet to sit on, the paper falls into the water and you have to do it over and over again. Also, I usually prefer the smaller stalls if they are cleaner. They are usually seated a bit lower, and make for a more comfortable time in the bathroom.

omg, I went to a public bathroom the other day and a few of my friends needed to use the bathroom. Someone was in the h-stall so it only left two useable ones to split among my friends. So I was there for a while waiting for all of them.

Anyways, an old Chinese woman in a wheelchair was brought in by her husband and they wait for whoever is in the h-stall. She managed to shoo her husband away though and she waited by herself. My friends, who speak Chinese, asked her if she needed help and we checked to make sure someone was in fact using that stall (there were feet down there). And she waited a whileeee. And finally, another Chinese woman comes out, sees the lady in the wheelchair, and apologizes, whatever. I felt really bad though.

Hm. I never use the h-stall, not out of some ethical reason though...just simply, it's too much room for me and it's way weird, IMO. And I think the seats are taller? Not good for me. I prefer small stalls unless they're dirty. But normally, I don't go in public places, so that solves that.
